Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES: Worship

In this two week series Pastor Mike will explore the why's and how's of worship

Last Week:
What is your favorite "worship" song? This week, look up the lyrics and print them out. Read them out loud everyday as a reminder that worship is a choice. Choose to worship God.

Two Weeks Ago:
Is there a secret fear that you are holding on to? What would it take to give it to the Lord?

Key Verse:
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8, ESV

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
Have you ever caught yourself singing the words to elevator music?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
If you had to listen to one type of music for an entire month, what type would it be?
Have you ever heard a song as an adult that can bring you back to an event that you experienced as a teenager?
What was the song?
Have you ever listened to a song that has moved you deeply?
Was it the song or the feelings attached to the song?
Have you ever had a physical reaction to a song?
Why do we play certain songs at sporting events?
What is it about music that moves us so much?
What style of worship (song) do you enjoy the most?
Where does that come from in you?
As a group, listen to Chris Tomlin's "My Chains Are Gone" together
What spoke to you most about that song?
Read Psalm 42:1-2; 33:8; 100:4; 42:5; 32:11
Describe the emotion being identified in each of these passages
Have you ever felt like this during a time of worship? Explain
Why do some people raise their hands or dance around when they worship?
When you worship God, what are some of the emotions that are stirred up in you?
Have you ever felt a little self conscious when you are worship God?
For you, what would it look like to have reckless abandonment in your worship to God?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
This week, play your favorite worship song all alone. Focus on the words and worship God as an audience of One.
