Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES: Necessary Sins

Some sins are always wrong: murder, stealing, abuse, etc., but we allow certain habits to "help" us deal with life. Sometimes, those bad habits can become part of our identity. It's time to separate ourselves from these "necessary" habits and recognize them for what they really are: SINS. In this four week series we will look at lying, gossip, lust and anger and how we can replace these habits with obedience and grace.

Last Week:
Do something encouraging for someone who attends at GracePoint and someone who leads at GracePoint.

Two Weeks Ago:
This week, play your favorite worship song all alone. Focus on the words and worship God as an audience of One.

Key Verse:
“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31–32)

Are lies sin?

Why does Jesus want to protect us from it (sin)?
In the end, who ultimately is impacted the most by the lies we tell?
What is the downside to telling the truth?
What is the upside of telling the truth?
Where in your life/what topic is it easiest for you to lie?
How does John 8:31-36 apply to that area in your life?
