Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

Money. All of us have some. Have you ever wondered why? Of all the things God gives us, how does money fit into His Plan for my life? Join us for a three week journey that will answer that very question.

Last Week:
Are there patterns of frustration in your life, difficulties you relive?
Spend some time in Galatians 5:22-23. Is there something God wants to give you that perhaps you are resisting?

Two Weeks Ago:
Who needs to see you be content in the midst of a difficult circumstance in your life?
Read Philippians 4:11-13 each day until we meet again and ask God to help you live it out.

Key Verse:
“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” Matthew 6:21

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
When is the last time you bought a lottery ticket?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
When have you experienced generosity from someone?
How did you react?
What is the most common way people are generous?
Where is the easiest area of your life to be generous with others?
When it comes to money, do you think people are generous?
How much more money do you think someone would need to be generous with others?
What if God's generosity with us was based solely on our generosity towards others?
Would that change our perspective in how generous we were with others? Explain
Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-9; Proverbs 11:24-25
What does verse 6 mean to you?
Is God like the stock market where the more we give the more we get back?
Other than financial, what are some other ways you "reap bountifully" when you give to God?
What does it mean to be a cheerful giver?
Does God need your money?
Then why does God command us to give?
Read Malachi 3:10
How does faith work?
Why does God ask us to "test Him" in our be generous with Him?
How bad do you want God's blessings in your life?
Tithe challenge:
Barry talked about tithing for 3 months and see what God does. If nothing happens GPC will give your money back.
Why is this such a big deal (hint - it has nothing to do with money)?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
If you are not tithing, start and see what God does for the next three months - keep a journal.
If you are tithing, increase it and see what God does for the next three months - keep a journal.
