Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES: This Is What We Do

Money. All of us have some. Have you ever wondered why? Of all the things God gives us, how does money fit into His Plan for my life? Join us for a three week journey that will answer that very question.

Last Week:
Be generous this week, in some way, with some person. It doesn't need to be financial although it can, but look for a way to be generous.

Two Weeks Ago:
If you are not tithing, start and see what God does for the next three months - keep a journal.
If you are tithing, increase it and see what God does for the next three months - keep a journal.

Key Verse: “But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” Isaiah 32:8, NLT

REMINDER - THERE ARE NO LG QUESTIONS THE WEEK OF EASTER... FEEL FREE TO REVIST A WEEK OR USE THE QUESTIONS FROM AN "OFF" WEEK.

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)

Do you remember how or when it started?
Why is that important to you?
Define Irrational.
Read Luke 10:33-35
What are some situations that would cause you to give spontaneously?
Which is easier, to give spontaneously or strategically? Why?
Read verse 33 again.
How does compassion play into spontaneous giving?
Before the Samaritan man acted, what did he do first? (saw the injured man)
How aware are we to the generosity opportunities that are around us?
Is it lack of preparation or lack of vision?
Someone read out loud “But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” Isaiah 32:8, NLT
How do you plan generosity?
How do you plan to purposely increase your generosity?
What would it look like for you to have a plan to increase generosity?
How does that sound?
Read Mark 12:41-44
Have you ever sacrificed (gone without) for your kids, family member?
Was it easy? Explain
Why is it easier to sacrifice for a loved one versus a stranger?
What is the difference between comfortable generosity and sacrificial generosity?
Do you think generosity should stretch us? Explain.
How has this series changed your perspective on generosity?
What is one take away/change you will implement in your life?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Generosity is not natural, but it can be. Ask someone in your group to hold you accountable to implement that change you just mentioned.
