Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

Faith. It's this essential thing that we need to have in order to survive day to day living. We place faith in lots of things, some good, some bad. But the faith that matters most, and honestly the one we wrestle with most often, is our faith in God. In this seven week series we will do a character study of some real life characters in the Bible. Their faith in God will give us confidence to increase our faith in Him.

Last Week:
Are there difficulties in your life that seem insurmountable? Pray, share with an appropriate friend, and allow God to work. Read 2 Kings 4:1-7. God can do anything.

Two Weeks Ago:
Commit to a month of asking God for a bold faith request. Maybe it's in your own life. Maybe it's in your "community". Ask, Seek, Knock.

Key Verse:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
What has been a highlight for you this past year?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
Have you ever had to visit someone or spend the night in the hospital?
What are some of the feelings you have when you step inside the hospital?
Have you ever known someone who had a life threatening illness?
What was it like being around them?
Read 2 Kings 5:1-6
What do you think would be the worst illness to have?
If you had a life threatening illness, and you knew someone who held the cure, what would you do?
What would you not do?
Read 2 Kings 5:8-10
What is the most famous person you have ever met?
How did you feel when you met them?
How do you think Naaman felt when Elisha didn't come down to meet him?
How would you have reacted?
Read 2 Kings 5:11-12
How many people do you think struggle with pride?
Why do you think that is such an issue with people?
How does pride impact how a person sees things?
Read 2 Kings 5:13
Who is the person in your life that helps give you perspective?
What was God really asking Naaman to do?
What happened when he obeyed?
Read Luke 6:27-28; Colossians 3:13; 2 Peter 1:5-7; Ephesians 5:33
How are these things good for us to do?
What prevents us from doing them?
What could our pride be causing us to miss out on?
