Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

We are all hardwired to worship. The problem is that we worship other things than a holy, righteous God.  As believers, we are commanded to give praise to God. Often times our background, experience, personality, and preferences have restrained our expression of worship. This series will encourage us to unashamedly UNLEASH our praise to a worthy God!

Last Week:
Take a step towards truly worshiping God and a step away from what others around you are thinking about you…

Two Weeks Ago:
The next time you worship corporately, thank God for the sacrifice He made for you. Let that be your guide, not the people around you, as you worship Him.

Key Verse:
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37, ESV)

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
If you could be in any professional band, what would it be?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
Did you ever take music lessons as a kid?
Were you glad did or do you wish you had taken lessons as a kid?
Have you ever played air guitar while driving?
What do you think is the most difficult instrument to play?
If you could play any instrument what would it be?
Read Psalm 33:2-3; 57:7-9; 47:1,6-7
What are your top three types of music you enjoy?
Where do you think our enjoyment of music comes from?
How does music impact your mood?
Read Psalm 56:3-4, 11-12
Have you ever had a child hold their arms up to you just to be held?
What was that like?
How does a child find comfort in the arms of their mom or dad?
It’s easy to praise God when things are going well, but how do we praise/worship God when things aren’t going so well?
How could our arms raised towards God be a comfort just like a child ends comfort is his or her parents arms?
How do faith and worship work together?
Listen to the song “It is Well” by Kristene Dimarco
What were some of the emotions that came to the surface?
Did it cause you to focus on something bad or on how God took you through something bad?
In the best of days or in the worst of days, how can we sing “It is well with my soul”?
How will that knowledge help you get through this next week?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Memorize Psalm 33:2-3
Listen to that song “It is Well” by Kristene Dimarco at least one time this week - loudly and thank God through your worship
