Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

CURRENT SERIES: Better Than Happy

All of us wish for happiness. Some people look to their friends, family, and finances to find it. Some devote their search for happiness in food, clothes, toys, and new things. But happiness is a lot like the cold air we exhale in the winter – it’s here and quickly disappears. God has something better in mind than a search for happiness. It’s called JOY.

Last Week:
What are your current "chains"? How can you choose to handle them in Christ this week?

Two Weeks Ago:
What is your purpose here in Kitsap County? What can you start doing this week?

Key Verse:  “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” Matthew 25:40

As a society, why do we put such an emphasis on being first?
Read Matthew 20:1-16

Does the person who worked the least deserve the same wages?
What is the difference between generous and fair?
Read Mark 9:35; Matthew 25:40
What does it mean to serve others?
Is serving others conditional?
What is the most difficult part about serving others?
If you are constantly "second" how will your needs be met?
Who are the "least of these" in your life?
Read Matthew 5:43-44
How do you serve someone who doesn't deserve it?
How did Christ model that for us?
Who is someone in your life that it would be difficult to serve/love them?
Why do you think it is so important that we put others ahead of ourselves?
If this is something we are supposed to do, why is it so hard?
How could you put being second into practice this week?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Take some of the ideas about "being second" and apply them this week, especially to those difficult people in our life.
