Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

- Movement towards Each Other
- Movement towards God
- Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

What is one thing that is guaranteed to bring a tear to your eye?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
What is one thing that you are afraid of? (group promises not to "surprise you" next time, especially if it's spiders :-)
When you were a kid, was there a time where you were really afraid of something?
What happened to those fears when you got older?
What causes us to stop being afraid of something?
Do our fears change depending on the stage of life? Explain.
What is a future fear you might have ten years from today?
Read Psalm 22:1-2
Have you ever felt like that, abandoned by God?
What do you do in those moments of feeling all alone?
Read Psalm 22:3-8
When has the Lord shown up in a bad situation?
Why are those moments in our lives so important?
Read Psalm 22:14-21
What does it mean to be overwhelmed with life?
If you had a friend who was going through something awful, what would you share from your experiences that would be helpful to them?
When life gets hard, is there a verse that you like to read? What is it?
How do you know that God will be able to handle whatever comes at you?
Read out loud together - Psalm 23
Even though you are grown up, is there a fear that you still hold on to?
How does this passage speak to that hidden fear?
For you, what does it mean to "trust the Lord"?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Challenge: Is there a secret fear that you are holding on to? What would it take to give it to the Lord?
