Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

Good news travels fast. In the book of Acts, Jesus launched His church and set a fire of hope that has continued to burn for centuries. Through the church, the gospel is the hope of the world and is unstoppable. God will continue to use His people to build His church until Jesus returns. His Church will never stop because He will never stop.

Last Week:
Memorize Galatians 5:22-23
Where do you need to allow God’s power in your life?

Two Weeks Ago:
What is one new thing you have learned about worshipping God? How can you apply that in your life on a DAILY basis?

Key Verse:

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
What do you think would be the worst way to die? (if you listened to the sermon this question will totally make sense)

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
When you were a kid, what was your favorite thing to play on at the playground?
Was there anything that scared you?
When you had kids, was there anything at the playground you didn’t want them to try?
What is the difference between boldness and playing it safe?
When you were a kid at the playground, which was easier?
When you are a parent with a child at the playground, which is easier?
What’s the difference?
In your life, where do you play it safe?
Where are you more bold?
Read Acts 3:1-6
What would have happened if Peter had played it safe?
Where did his boldness come from?
Do we have access to that same boldness? How?
How would you describe your favorite restaurant to a friend?
Would you pull out the menu and read it? Why?
Which is easier, telling someone about your faith in God or telling someone about your favorite restaurant? Explain
Read Acts 3:4, 6-7, 11; 4:4, 8-12
What was the progression from one act of boldness?
Do you think Peter and John thought that was going to happen?
Which is easier, to play it safe with my faith in God or to be bold with my faith in God?
Which has the greater impact?
Why does that matter?
Read Acts 4:13-14
How does humility and vulnerability in my faith in God provide opportunity to reach my community?
Read Matthew 16:25
What does this verse mean to you?
What does it look like for you to boldly live out your faith in your community?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Ask God for opportunities to boldly live out your faith this week and then thank Him when He answers your prayers. Come back and share what happened.

Help us spread the word about our Community Tree Lighting Event on 11/25. Get a flyer from the GS Counter on Sunday and post it somewhere in your community.
