Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

The book of Colossians is the richest New Testament book that describes the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Once Paul lays the foundation, the book concludes with how followers are to live their life upon this foundation.

Last Week:
How can you live out your faith/hope this week? Will you do it?

Two Weeks Ago:

Key Verse:

giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” Colossians 1:12

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
If your house was on fire, what would be the one item you would grab?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
What are three blessings in your life?
Was that an easy list to compile?
Why did you choose those three?
Have you ever taken something or someone for granted?
How did you realize it and make it right?
Do you think we take God for granted? How?
How is a child taking their parents for granted similar to how we can treat God?
Read Colossians 1:9-12
What does it mean for our lives to be pleasing to God?
When our lives are “pleasing” to God, is that for His benefit or for ours?
Is that possible without Jesus? Why?
Read Colossians 1:13-14
What does it mean to be rescued?
If a two year kid versus an adult was rescued off the top of a mountain, who would appreciate it more? Why?
Read Luke 7:36-50
How are the woman and the Pharisee the same?
Who was seeking to be rescued from their sin?
Who appreciated it more? How do you know?
How can we lose sight of what/how Jesus did for us?
How do you think that woman’s life was changed after she met Jesus?
Read Colossians 1:10-12 again
How can we show appreciation to Jesus for what He did for us?
What does it look like for you to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord”?
How can you live that out this week?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
We can live differently because of Christ. How can we show that this week in our daily lives? Report back the next time we meet.
