Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

The book of Colossians is the richest New Testament book that describes the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Once Paul lays the foundation, the book concludes with how followers are to live their life upon this foundation.

Last Week:
Write your parents a thank you note. If they are gone, write an encouraging note to another parent.

Two Weeks Ago:
To women - pray for your husband/ someone who is in authority over you every day this week
To men - what is one way you can show love to your wife/or a family member every day this week?

Key Verse:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,” Colossians 3:23

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
If you could have superpowers, what would you choose?

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
Why do you go to work?
Do you like your job?
Is your answer based on you or others?
Read Colossians 3:22-23
How can this passage change how we view our jobs/where we work?
What does it mean to “work for the Lord”, especially if we have a difficult work environment?
Why do you think God still has you at your current job?
Read Colossians 4:2-4
What does it mean to live out your faith?
Where is the most difficult place to live out your faith? Easiest?
What makes the difference?
Does culture shape my faith or does my faith shape my culture? Explain
Read Colossians 4:2-6
Why is it important to pray before I interact with people?
Have you ever asked God to give you an opportunity to share your faith with someone?
On a scale of 1-10, how scary would that prayer be for you?
Do you think God purposely puts people in our path? Why?
What does it mean to have “gracious speech”?
How do you think having that type of response, regardless of situation, would impact those around me?
How do these passages apply to the difficult people in my life?
How would praying for them impact how I see them?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Greet every person you see this week with a name tag by name. Thank them for the work they are doing. Let us know their reaction when we come back together.

Easter is a few weeks away. Who are you praying for to invite to church?
