Welcome to a New LifeGroup Session!

Before we jump into our study, let's take a moment to remember that there are THREE things we want to see happen every time our LifeGroups gather:

Movement towards Each Other
Movement towards God
Movement towards our Community

Our questions follow this same format. All of the questions are designed towards movement. We hope you enjoy your time together in your LifeGroup.
**Remember, our goal is to deepen our relationship with Jesus and each other. Use the questions that are help and skip the rest.

The book of Colossians is the richest New Testament book that describes the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Once Paul lays the foundation, the book concludes with how followers are to live their life upon this foundation.

Last Week:
Greet every person you see this week with a name tag by name. Thank them for the work they are doing. Let us know their reaction when we come back together.

Two Weeks Ago:
Write your parents a thank you note. If they are gone, write an encouraging note to another parent.

Key Verse:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son…” John 3:16

Movement Towards Each Other (know the people in your group)
Name a song with the word “hell” in it

Movement Towards God (grow in your relationship with God)
Other than Sunday, when is the last time you heard the word hell used?
What was the context?
Why do some people treat it as a joke?
Have you ever met people who think hell won’t be so bad?
If hell is real, why do you think people are so casual about it?
What do you think hell will be like?
Read Matthew 25:31-34, 41; John 3:16-17
What is the purpose for hell?
How does the torture and death of Jesus give us a idea of how bad hell will be and how much He does not want anyone to go there?
Read Luke 16:19-31; Matthew 13:49-50; Revelation 20:10
What does the Bible say about hell?
How is that different than the world’s view?
Why do you think we get a first hand description of hell?
What is “missing” in hell?
Why do you think Satan is trying so hard to mask what hell is really like?
Read Romans 1:18-20; Hebrews 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
Will anyone have an excuse before God and say they didn't know?
How do we know that everyone has an opportunity to accept or reject God?
How do we know that God does not want ANYONE to go to hell?
Why is it important for us to understand what hell really is and what it is not?
How should our knowledge of hell impact those in our lives who don’t know Jesus?

Movement Towards Community (they see the change in you)
Ask God to give you an opportunity this week to share with someone who doesn’t know about Him

Easter is a few weeks away. Who are you praying for to invite to church?
