Before we jump into our study, let’s remember three goals of every LifeGroup gathering:
– Grow with Each Other (know each other better)
– Grow Closer to God (know God better)
– Grow Deeper in Life (live by faith better)

All of the questions are designed to lead us in spiritual and relational growth. The goal is to deepen our relationships with God and one another, and learn to live by faith better in the process.  CURRENT SERIES: Show Me the Love

Grow with Each Other
  • What is an area of your life you don’t always connect with Jesus? What areas might feel off limits or disconnected from Jesus?
  • Is there an area of your life that you don’t feel like you can talk about the Lord and your faith? Explain.
  • Have you ever had a hard time believing Jesus is real or that you truly have access to Him? Explain.
Grow Closer to God
  • READ 1 John 1:1-4
  • How have Satan’s lies impacted you coming to and believing in the Lord?
  • What does it mean that God is light? How does this encourage you in truth?
  • What are some lies you struggle to combat that discourage you from drawing near to God?
  • READ 1 John 5:12-13
  • What does knowing God is Life and the source of eternal life teach you about being in fellowship with Him?
  • How have you experienced the transformation from spiritual death to life through your faith in Jesus?
  • What has this transformation taught you about the Life we have in the Lord?
  • READ 1 John 1:5-10
  • How can we know that we are truly walking in the light? What does this teach us about God?
  • What might God be revealing that we need to let go of to walk in deeper fellowship with Him?

  • What might you need to confess today to step out of darkness and into God’s light?
  • What steps can you take this week in order to walk in the true light, life and love of God?
  • What is a specific area Satan is using against you lately that we can be praying over this week to defeat darkness together?
